‘Flying is Easy’ shortlists for an award.

It’s a delight to have a poem shortlisted for the Karen W. Treanor Poetry Award 2014, which will be announced at the KSP Writers’ Centre on Sunday, 7th of December. This year’s poem, Flying is Easy, was inspired by my true love, half a world away, and is dedicated to his constant and beautiful presence. I know he’ll be at my side in heart and soul, flying, effortlessly, while I read. 🙂

If you’re in Perth, you’re welcome to come along to the awards, celebrated annually as part of ‘Katharine’s Birthday’ (the writers’ centre is named after Western Australian author, Katharine Susannah Prichard). You can visit their website here for more details. Hope to see you there!
